Powder Blues: (Blues, Rock, Funk, Swing, Country) For nearly three decades Powder Blues has been Canada’s favorite blues band. Their music incorporates elements of Swing, Blues, Jazz, Rock & Roll and Rhythm & Blues into their unique and instantly identifiable sound. This broad approach has resulted in an appeal whose demographic is so wide that it is not unusual to find people from seven to seventy swaying side by side at a Powder Blues concert. Throughout the years they have toured ceaselessly throughout Canada, the United States and overseas, spreading the joy of a music that makes people smile and dance. Band highlights include winning Canada’s most prestigious National Music Award, the Juno, in 1981, headlining and recording a live album at the world famous Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland in 1983, being presented with the W.C. Handy Award in Memphis, Tennessee in 1986 and touring the Soviet Union and being released on Melodya Records in 1990. They have appeared in concert with such legendary names as Willie Dixon, John Lee Hooker, B.B. King, James Brown, Albert Collins, James Cotton, Stevie Ray Vaughn, the Who, ZZ Top, the Doobie Brothers, Edgar Winter and Tower of Power.

Andrew Gromiller & The Organically Grown: (Funk, Soul, Pop, Spiritual) The Organically Grown is a ten piece Funk, Soul, R&B, and Motown group based out of Montana, USA. Andrew’s original sound isn’t just funky, bluesy and groove oriented — it also has an inspirational, spiritual side. Many of his tunes combine both a Funk and Groove foundation with an inspirational story or message. You’ll find Gromiller’s songs to be a perfect bridge between popular, foot-movin-and-groovin’ dance numbers and soul-filled music with a powerful message.

Mark Chippa: (Swing, Pop, Soul) Growing up in a small town in rural Ontario, Mark headed for hockey and other sports at a young age. But his fascination with music slowly evolved to the point where he was not satisfied to be on the sidelines. By the time he hit high school in Wingham, Ontario, he was playing lead guitar and drums in several bands – rock and jazz – and then followed his music passion to a College Music Industry Arts program in London, Ontario. That’s where he expanded his writing, recording, and performing experieces, and got a taste of the night life in that city.
After graduating in 2006, he and several classmates formed a rock band and headed to Canada’s capital city of Ottawa. Since then, he’s been an active part of Ottawa’s young music scene with his high-energy band that’s filled countless clubs and concert halls.
But Mark wasn’t finding creative satisfaction in the pop rock-alternative music scene, and quietly started writing and record his own pop-crooner/swing material. In a matter of months, he’d written and laid down demos for 30 songs in this niche. They’re a combination of pop and big band, with a fresh twist from the 30′s and 40′s Crooner era.
Mark is now hitting stages with his smooth vocals, fun lyrics, and his ‘devilish personallity’ that can get any crowd dancing and singing…. all with an extremely talented orchestra to back him up!

The Devlin Runners: (Country, Bluegrass, Pop, Rock) The Devlin Runners are an energetic, fierce four-peice alt-country outfit from Southern Ontario whose songs capture the good, the bad-ass and the awesome of country life.
In early 2009, four musicians and friends reunited, walked into a rehearsal studio hoping to forge a new musical path. The sound that Wendell G. Collier, Chris Wheeler, Mark Bovine, and Jeff Graville cooked up, while hanging at the Toronto-area studio of a long-time friend, was like nothing they had created before. The Devlin Runners sound is a blend that captures classic country, 1970’s rock and roll anthems and the poetic wordsmith lyrical styles of 1980’s singer-songwriters. This, of course, is presented with a razor-sharp timing and musicianship that can only come from the members previous countless nights on-stage together. It’s a sound that had all the members of The Devlin Runners chomping at the bit to do more, make more, and go further inside of the music.
